At Courtlough, we offer a wide range of lessons for all levels of skill. Whether you have never held a gun before or want to develop your skills further, we have the knowledge and experience to help you!
What type of lesson should I choose?
Shooting Experience Packages
Our shooting experience packages are suitable for beginners up to intermediate level, are fully instructor-led and are inclusive of everything you might need. These are often more suitable for complete beginners, as they allow you to get a feel for the sport, before deciding if it is something you would like to take further. Private Lessons
Our private lessons are in-depth and focused on technique, so are generally better suited to those who have already begun their shooting journey and are looking to improve on their current skillset. Beginners can still opt for one of these lessons if they so wish however, and you can choose from one of the options below. Please call or email to book a private lesson.
Private Shooting Lesson @ €45pp
Our Private Lessons are ideal for the shooter interested in learning the necessary skills to improve and excel in the sport of Clay Pigeon or Rifle Shooting. Upon arrival you will meet your instructor who will perform a gun fit (shotgun only), discuss your shooting requirements and teach you the correct shooting techniques for different targets. Young Guns Lesson @ €40pp
"Young Guns" lessons are specifically designed for juniors (suitable from 14 yrs up), to help build their experience and introduce them into the world of Clay Pigeon or Rifle Shooting. They are the perfect introduction for a novice, teaching them all the basic skills required to improve and excel in the sport, as well as instilling the fundamental rules of firearm safety and shooting etiquette. Further Information & Costs
Private and Young Gun lessons include 1 hour of private tuition. Gun rental costs an additional €15 if you do not have your own firearm. Ammunition and targets are charged in addition to the lesson fee, wherever applicable. For clay pigeon shooting, this will be 45c per clay (you will generally shoot around 50 targets in a lesson) and ammunition ranges from €9.00 per box of 25 cartridges, upwards, depen,ding on your requirements. For Rifle, targets are €9 per pack of 150, and ammunition starts from €11 per box of 50 (you will generally shoot around 50-100 targets per lesson).
